Japan Gun Control

The stringent gun control makes it a privilege not a right to own guns in Japan.  In stark contrast to the United States which has the loosest gun regulations in the developed world, Japan has a remarkably low rate of firearm deaths.  In 2008, the United States experienced over 12,000 gun-related homicides, Japan had only 11.  Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride explores just how onerous the regulations are in Japan.
